Hellas Installs Revolutionary Lighting System at Texas Class 3A High School

Hellas CLIR2® Series and CLIR® RGB high-performance LED lighting system

Hellas, a Tencate Company, is proud to announce the installation of its cutting-edge CLIR2® Series and CLIR® RGB high-performance LED lighting system at Ponder High School. This game-changing system promises to elevate the fan experience to unprecedented heights. Designed for maximum energy efficiency, it utilizes full-spectrum color flooding and programmable stadium effects, all easily controlled at the touch of a button.

The CLIR RGB lighting system enhances every moment at the stadium, whether it’s a touchdown, home run, or goal. These colorful RGB LED lights sync with the music for an impressive light show that invigorates the atmosphere and creates unforgettable memories. From pregame introductions, the national anthem, halftime shows, and postgame fireworks, the CLIR RGB lighting system is crafted with fans, players, and coaches in mind.

“We are excited to bring our advanced lighting technology to Ponder High School,” said Don Massey, Hellas Lighting Sales Manager. “The CLIR2 and CLIR RGB lighting systems are not only energy-efficient but also user-friendly, with a pre-aimed and pre-wired installation process. Our commitment is to provide a durable, reliable, and efficient lighting solution that meets the needs of all sports enthusiasts.”

Ponder High School Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Marcus Schulz shared, “We can control the lights from the press box and our cell phones. Our school colors are red and white, so we incorporate that into our touchdowns, while using traditional red, white, and blue lights for the national anthem.”

Light pollution is not an issue with the CLIR2 Series an CLIR RGB lights. “The lights are definitely directed straight onto the field,” adds Schulz. “Once you get outside of the stadium, you can’t even tell the lights are on.”

Key features of the CLIR2 Series and CLIR RGB lighting systems include:

  • Durable Design: The solid-state LED source is enclosed in aluminum powder-coated housing that increases durability and longevity.
  • Optimal Thermal Management: Designed for stability, the system maintains consistent performance and uniform light distribution through multi-scale lenses that also reduce glare.
  • Low Maintenance Costs: Guaranteed light levels ensure peace of mind for end-users, contributing to low life-cycle costs and minimal maintenance.
  • Wireless Control: The Digital Contactor™ smart system allows for wireless control and remains compatible with existing mechanical contractors, making it ideal for retrofit applications.
