BrightView Technologies Introduces Advanced G-Series Glare Control Optics with Eclipse Technology

BrightView Technologies has announced the launch of its G-Series glare control diffusers with Eclipse technology. With multiple tint levels available, these solutions work seamlessly with BrightView’s trusted diffuser platform and advanced micro lens array (MLA) technology to deliver enhanced high-angle light suppression and improved Unified Glare Rating (UGR) performance across a wide range of applications – achieving a UGR below 16 in standard 2’x2’ fixtures and maintaining a UGR below 19 in narrow linear formats.
“Our new G-Series diffusers with Eclipse technology represent a significant step forward in glare control and user-centric lighting,” said Jennifer Aspell, CEO at BrightView. “By combining capabilities for enhanced glare control, efficiency and design flexibility, we’re empowering our customers to create more comfortable and visually refined environments – whether it’s an office, retail space or modern architectural setting.”
The new tinted options expand BrightView’s advanced portfolio of G-Series diffusers for high-performance lighting applications, helping increase luminous intensity by up to 30%, or up to 60% when paired with a C-HE55 or C-HE80 diffuser. These solutions support compliance with industry glare standards, including ANSI/IESNA RP-1-04 and EN12464, making them ideal for a range of indoor lighting environments.
Available tinted options include:
- No Tint: Delivers standard performance with no reduction in light transmission.
- Low Tint: Produces elevated glare performance with a minimal reduction in light transmission.
- High Tint: Offers the best glare performance with a moderate reduction in light transmission.
“As lighting systems become more adaptive and experience-driven, designers need optical solutions that are as dynamic as their applications,” added Aspell. “This expansion of our G-Series delivers scalable, high-performing options for environments where comfort and compliance are critical.”
The new solutions are powered by BrightView’s innovative MLA-based technology, which utilizes micro-sized (one millionth of a meter) structures to control light in films. Through refraction and total internal reflection, these solutions outperform traditional light scattering methods by improving light uniformity and local dimming performance.
BrightView’s computational optics solutions are used in a range of dynamic technology applications, including consumer electronics, automotive, lighting, augmented reality and virtual reality, horticulture and other optical management markets.
